    Sniping Issue?

I need your opinion on this one guys as it might just be me.

I have been sniping as normal and usually it works fine however i have noticed two things and i want to bring them to your attention to see if im the only one.

    1) I can be sniping fine for maybe 10-15 minutes and then for no reason it will feel like my sniper cannot hit anything. I have had situation where i have been dead on pulled the trigger and watched the bullet travel straight through the enemy. This is also the same case when i fire my bullet, see the blood spatter on the enemies body however do not register a hit.

    2) The sniper rifles have a sway and bullet drop aspect to them which can be compensated for however when it comes to extremely fine aiming i feel like my crosshair is on some sort of grid and i cannot line it up exactly where i want it to go as it must follow this grid kind of pattern. Also does the bullet drop to the sniper rifles seems to vary? I had a case where i fired a shot at a point and saw my bullet drop, i then fired again at the same spot at the same distance an angle and my shot went slightly below the one before. I have noticed this whilst taking out targets also.

I just want your opinions on this as im not sure if im going insane or if these are genuine bugs that other people are encountering.

I think there is an issue where a server can suddenly become lagged regardless of your own ping. Maybe because a high-ping player has just joined,

I dont use the sniper rifles much ,but I have a similar experience when trying to use the UAV missile.

I recall seeing the issue reported on either EA or Steam forums.

I haven't had any problems with sniping on the PS3. Sometimes it does feel like I can't hit anything but I think its just me rather than the game. Probaly staring at the TV too intensly looking for those sniper kills is gonna send you a bit crazy :).

When it comes down to really fine shooting it does feel like a grid. I guess this is more noticible on consoles than on PC becuase of the lower resolution. But if you are firing at someone really far away your basically moving the cursor from one "grid square" to the next just to line up your shot.

i have had the problem with varying bullet drop, especially when i was trying to snipe the guy on the shielded mg. i shot at him high, then i didnt adjust my aim and the bullet dropped to his crotch. im not sure why it did that.

It changes on the PC version, depending on your breathing; there is less bullet drop if your crosshairs go up, and more bullet drop if you fire when they go down, or exhaling.

It's a really nice touch, moves away from the point anc clik sniping.

            Re: Sniping Issue?

The only issue I have ever had was today and only once. I shot a guy on an HMG square in the head and it did nothing, half a second later I warped and my cross-hair jumped up and the round hit the wall where my cross-hair moved to above the window. He then killed me :/

So it was de-sync, lag and bad timing that got me killed.
