    Parachuting in...and getting shot.

Seems in this demo that sometimes when I parachute in people are able to kill me mid flight and I have almost no recourse. Sure I can attempt to shot them but it's not such an easy task when your dropping in a parachute. Also do those mounted tows at the first defense base seem a bit over powered. I'm used to getting hit by one and everyone cheering because it's a fairly rare event (rare meaning 1 time a week maybe). In this game there are guys that snipe you out 6 times in a round with that tow launcher. And I'm not talking about from 5 or 15 feet away. I'm talking about me walking over a mountain a quarter of a mile away and me getting picked off as if he was a sniper.

I'm glad they put that MG on that building, I have a lot of fun killing campers on the hill with it.

Spawn as engineer; drop the heat on them; it's easier than sniping from the parachute. it can be done tough, and will most probably cause the sniped person disconnecting

:hmm: you must just be really unlucky, the total fluke of a shot required to headshot a parachuting enemy once let alone multiple times is like winning the lottery.

I have hit people with the tow on the mountain before but in my experience the things just as likely to get you killed as an enemy.

Dont know what to say about the chute thing. Tough luck on that.

As for the tow, it acts the same in BF2 and actually I thought they were a bit weaker.

If you play hardcore, aren't the sniper rifles one-hit-kills, or at least the bolt actions? Wouldn't it be a bit of a turkey shoot hitting all the parachuting people since all you'd need is a body shot for an instant kill? Landing would almost seem like a battle of attrition, that if they throw enough bodies down at the same time they can't ALL be sniped so at least one is bound to get through. Yet I don't see this as a complaint so I'm guessing it works differently in HC?

Just strafe and go forwards while parachuting, nearly all of the time you won't die.

I have yet to get killed in the attacking intro, but someone I know did. All you need to do is just put a bit of moment into your descent and you will be fine.
