MAN! I updated my BIOS and not my computer won't boot, it powers up but I get a 'No Signal' from the moniter

EDIT: Fixed it, phew, removed the CMOS battery for 10 minutes and it worked

Good well you have the latest bios now. you using 0518? What the cpu running at now? For that board it says that cpu's that have a 1333mhz Front Side Bus can only run at 1066mhz. So you may be out of luck and still won't be able to get the full 3.0 ghz from that cpu.

You could also try upping your FSB to 333mhz in the bios (overclocking). To enter the bios tap the delete key a few times when you see the spash screen on boot.
go to Advanced-> Jumper free -> AI Overclocking -> Manual and configure CPU Frequency manually(333). That MB may not have JumperFree configurations though so you may not be able to overclock it at all. If your computer won't boot just clear the CMOS.

I've overclocked my cpu (E6400) from 2.13 to 3.0ghz and saw a jump in FPS. I have a Q9550 on the way though.

I don't see the options you listed in my BIOS.

But your saying I paid for a 3.0GHz processor but it only runs at 1.8GHz? Are there any other ways to OC it?

Yes, basically you've never had that processor running at it's proper 3 ghz, always 1.8 max. Your motherboard with the original bios only supports cpus with a FSB of 800mhz. That processor you have runs at a FSB of 1333mhz. So you'd need a motherboard that will support that same speed. With the latest bios update you should now be getting a FSB of 1066mhz to put your cpu speed at a max speed of 2394mhz (2.4 Ghz). Still not quite 3.0 ghz but better than 1.8 gihz.

I've only ever used the bios to overclock my cpu, I don't know of any software to do it.

If you successfully flashed the new bios, it should now be 0518. You can check which version you have in CPU-Z on the Mainboard tab. Reading which cpus your motherboard supports it did say that with the new bios your processor should run at 1066mhz instead of 800mhz. If it doesn't there's not much more you can do, that motherboard doesn't support overclocking from the bios. You can try AI Booster to overclock on the software side. You just don't have the correct motherboard to support that processor. It's too bad because you would see a jump in your FPS going from 1.8 to 3 Ghz. Not huge probably about 10fps to 15 or so. If you're thinking about upgrading the motherboard, If I were you I'd go for one that supports the Intel i7 and get a new i7 processor and then you'd need DDR3 memory and then probably a better video card. Just what I would do if I were thinking about getting a new motherboard. That's pretty much a new system. Just depends what your budget is. Right now for me I'm just going to stick with the LGA775 for another year or so and get a Quad core, then change out all my hardware probably when BF3 comes along.

So try that AI booster and up the cpu Bus ratio to 333. Hopefully that'll work for you.

After searching, I have found out my motherboard only supports an FSB of 800MHz So no program/jumper can OC this. I'm just gonna get a MSI P7N SLI NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI Socket 775 ATX Motherboard, apparently is can support an FSB or 1333MHz which should throw me up to 3Ghz
