    Re: It's GOLD!

When the beta test was predominantly a network stress test which has naught to do with the client files that are burned onto the game CD, then yeah.

Back in the day, no. When no one cares because they will patch it "later"...yes.

It's amazing how much later later really is.

        Exactly.

The beta is probably at least a few builds behind where they currently are. I consider this more of a demo than anything else, and a stress test for network stability. Many of the bugs you currently see may be fixed in the initial release of the game. I haven't found any major bugs to report, but the minor ones, I don't even bother because I suspect its been documented a hundred times and already fixed.

It's gold. That should mean: Public Beta until end of Feb. Let's make a real stresstest on that network.

hmm so whatever suggestion and feedback and bug reports they asked for won't really be addressed until at least patch #1.

Where do you see that it went gold?

He said it wasn't true, meaning it hasn't gone gold yet.

Then why has the network not improved?

                      Re: It's GOLD!

It's nice to see they care so much about what us PC beta testers have to say.

So they'll release another beta stage game and continue to complete it for the next 4 years like BF2?

                        Re: It's GOLD!

The beta was older but more stable release. And there will be patch right after the release without a doubt. happens with every game these days, or at least with half decent ones as the s.h.i.t ones won't get patched at all. *coughborderlandscough*

the question is will the patch break more things than it fixes... in keeping with the history of BF patches

Ive been through a number of posts on the EA sites and twitter and elsewhere and nothing seems to be gold.
