    2142 in a nutshell

Just read the poop at the top, this is close to 90% of all 2142 servers, atleast these people are being honest. Notice the brilliant grammar. Can't say I play 2142 anymore, tried yesterday and got banned from GHF... moving on.

how is that 2142 in a nutshell? in my almost 2000hrs of playing, i have never seen such a thing. a server where you're not allowed to have a k/d better than 2.0? it sucks that you found such a whack server but don't make it sound like 90% of servers are really like that because i am sure i would have run into one, but i haven't.

please don't exaggerate... maybe 0.09% but not 90%.

I have NEVER seen anything like that. Are you saying that was the GHF server where you were banned? Because I play GHF all of the time and have never seen anything like that, nor would I think anyone at GHF would have a problem with a good K/D ratio. Heck, I've probably had that myself on multiple occasions.

this is kinda true for all servers i go on with good hitreg, kd to high, must be hacking... although i have never seen a limit on kd, and a ban for a to high kd rule.(what server was it, must play on it now, just for the fun of it)

I'm saying that ive been banned for hacking on many servers for having a good K/D, and there are a few clans out there that can tell the difference. All the bad clans that have "2000" hours always say, "I've played this game for over 2000 hours, over the past few years, I think I can tell the difference between someone hacking and not hacking." Yet we still get banned for it. I'm not saying 90% of the servers ban for a 2 K/D, I posted that SS cause it was ridiculous and an exaggeration of what ive seen from many servers , but none the less, 90% of the servers (alteast the 24/7 Camp G servers) would ban for hacking... aka GHF, MOFC, ToC, TRR, WCK, TG, just to name a few known servers.

In fairness, I get banned from a lot of servers I go on, so I can kind of see AZ's side of this... I've played about 5 short games in the last 3 weeks and managed to get banned from every server after getting a good K/D. It mostly seems to be the small clan servers that are guilty though... not sure they particularly want to cope with a player who is running riot on their server. Sometimes I can't really blame them though, if I was in their position I wouldn't be enjoying my game ^^ Just before I saw this post I got kicked from NLB after killing their admin a few times... although I didn't think a KD of 18-3 warranted being called a cheater...

The servers I manage to play on without problem are generally larger community servers. I tend to find they have a more balanced idea on how to run a server and awareness of the different calibre of players it might attract. As long as there's enough of them around I'm happy.

where are you guys playing? i never see servers banning people, let alone banning for playing well.

Yeah there have always been a few solid servers that know not to ban for a good score, but ive heard some crazy hackusations that would make you laugh. Problem is, there are so few servers these days, that when I do decide to load up and play, I dont particularly appreciate getting the boot... though I end up changing my GUID and going back in as a different soldier anyway

i play on mostly large pub servers and there are too many people and so much going on that i doubt the admins can keep track of banning people they don't like. you must play in some odd clan server with strict admining.

no, they are the regular servers like i listed a few above, though tbh the thread was delivered in a lighter manner showing an extreme case of 2142 admins... lol?

when i first saw the screenshot, without reading the text, i thought you meant the screenshot itself is 2142 in a nutshell: a guy holding a nade in camp-G. seriously, that really is 2142 in a nutshell, nade spamming near the walls in camp-G, lol.

                        I have never seen this...

I went 55 - 2 on a CG server the other day after a round of walker whoring - no issue. I went 32 - 4 on Remegen last night with no issue.

A 2.0 KD ban would be ridiculous - most squadded assault biatches would be kicked instantly - maybe not such a bad idea

lol dude vehicle whoring is a completely different story... when admins get out shot over and over this is when it happens... when you use the most skill less tool in the server aka walker, I doubt anyone could possibly get banned for that.

Strange, by now they must know your Name as you've been around for long time and known not to be a hacker fersure. Personally I've never encountered this problem, even having a KD >2 with my 2nd soldier which has only been around 190 hours (1st soldier 550 hours). Having said that, maybe it's something that's happening recently, since I haven't played since Nov.09 as my Intarnet speeds rather sux at my new place (100 Ping) resulting in my knife transformed to rubber...

A lot of them are newer clans, and I stopped playing public servers on a regular basis around last summer... some change their tune when I show my track record though. As long as they're understanding once I've had a chance to explain myself it generally works out ok.
