Attackers Camping

Ive played one round on the defending team where the attackers just camped the hill, They were even putting the vehicles up there behind the rocks instead of moving forward.

I really dont like it when a team does this, because it turns into a snipers heaven (ok, so i was using the recons mortar), it ruins the game for me.

What are your opinions?

Attacking teams that do this almost always lose the game. It is okay to have a few snipers up there to act as counter-snipers, but when too many players do this it takes the wind out of the sails of the offense. You need to bum rush those objectives and just overwhelm them.

On a side note: sniper's rock is well known but I've seen snipers up on the pipeline on the right hand side of the map half way up the hillside. This is a good spot, you have to travel across the map boundary so you have to be quick and not dawdle when the warning gives you the countdown. Just keep going forward and you'll re-enter the map and have a clear line of fire on the construction site and objective B.

Yeah it can happen. I dont know if I like it or not, but people are afraid of their K/D ration when they have to charge down the hill.

When I am defending, I dont mind it too much

There have always been people who care more about their K/D ratio than actually winning the game. And usually these people play snipers.
It hasent happend to me yet, but I can see why it would be frustrating to win the game with a K/D of 0.25, while the losing team are topscores and have a K/D of 4 despite basically being useless.

I thought that because you couldn't see other people's Kills and Death in the scoreboard this would have stopped, but people still but themselves before the team.

I like the idea of not having K/D on the scoreboard as it stops people from going "oh man look at my K/D" and "YEA MY K/D OWNZ", the game isn't about K/D ratio (well aside from on DM and SDM), it's about winning!

I dont see why people bother with protecting their stats when they're going to be wiped anyways.

When the attacking side is camped out on that hill I whip out my mortor strike and get quite a lot of kills.

Side note does the explosive upgrade effect mortor strike?

If the attacking team is camping, return the favor go on the bottom of "The Campers Hill" with an assault kit drop ammo and spam nades.

Yes the explosive upgrade improves the mortar strikes. Its actually one of those loading screen tips lol.

My K/D goes up when I'm in the fight... I get absolutely nothing done sitting on a hill taking badly aimed potshots at people on the ground below. When you're attacking you can flank... get a spawn point into their buildings... jump on the defenders MG and win.

When I notice that my team has at least 6 snipers oin the hill, like yesterday, 1 guy on the UAV, and 2 guys in each tank/apc sitting in the main base firing wildly into nowhere, that is when I pack 6 C4 charges on the ATV and just jihad the crates. My team won't do anything so I will. And if the defenders complain about it, so be it, they aren't the ones with nothing but camping idiots on our team.

Now, I will say that not all snipers are there just to camp/rack up kills, sometimes I see them calling in the mortar strikes on the TOW missiles and MGs so armor can move up but most of the time they are just tyring to get kills.

There have always been people who care more about their K/D ratio than actually winning the game...

whats funny is I've seen just the exact opposite too. people who don't even care about having any good firefights or infantry battles, they just use the jihad win.

I use my BF KDR to define my worth as a human being. Once I got it over 2 the girls just won't stop calling. srsly!
