Land a tracer dart on it and it's all over. Isn't as easy as it sounds however.

really? i downed it with about 5 bursts from the light tank machine gun,destroyed it with a tank shell and had it smoking with my pkm

The 40 mm grenade also works but it's one hell of a shot to make if it's not hovering.

Ive downed it with mortar strike while still on the pad ;D

Also used the mounted guns in the tank, the van, and the burst shots on the thing the lobs the rounds. Not sure what that thing is called.

Try to kill that thing when it's hovering near the edge of the map while its gunner is just unloading a huge amount of 25mm rounds onto Russia's spawn point and chokepoint. It's almost impossible even with high velocity weapons.

Sorry but I am 99% sure that bolded statement is false. I sprayed a clanmates chopper (Opposite team) with a PKM while he was hovering right above me. He said it was doing absolutely no damage. You can pretty much tell using Machine Guns or Pistols on the chopper does nothing; no hit reg shown and the bullets look like it can't pierce through the choppers metal.

Best way to take down the chopper is aim for its tail. If you hit the tail with the 50 cal machine gun or the Bradley..etc.. it is going to cause complete loss of control to the pilot and the chopper will more than likely nose dive to its death.

in real life a apache has bullet proof composite bottom,next time aim for the engines or rotors,maybe there is weak spots?

It could also be that the pilot had the vehicle armor specialization. However, yes, I can attest to the fact that the Apache is impervious against small arms fire, but I always use the armor specialization.
