EMP: Useful or Useless?

So I am going through my challanges and noticed that I have never selected the EMP as a killstreak. Ive selected everything else, but that one.

Personally, I don't see the use of it. Its easy to shoot people with out activated sites. Not having a mini map is no big deal. The thing doesn't even stop the nuke, which we learned in the Mythbuster episode.

So, is it a wasted killstreak spot or is it slice bread and I don't even know about it?

Only good thing it does is cancel out enemy killstreaks and stop them from being used, buit aside from that it's a 15 KS counter-uav...

They should have made it where the EMP could stop a nuke from being launched to balance things out.

Very useful, but I don't have it selected too often because I'm trying to get all killstreak challenges and I already have that one. I love to use it to blow the enemies' air support out of the sky.

The air support and stuff is a good idea. The problem is that its 15 KILLS!

Rockets do about as well and you can do them about any time. I think the EMP should be a 6 or 7 killstreak. Maybe an 8, but not much more then that.

Now maybe if the EMP lasted the entire round, then I can see it being that high of a streak.

Useless at the current 15 kill streak, should be more like a 7 or 9.

It's not devastating enough to be worth the 15 kills it requires.

I find it very useful, for example on Gibraltar, it's handy to have when the Mech is dominating and you cant get rid of the damn thing.

If it kills me I come back with the EMP which disable the mech then you can kill its support (infantry repairing it) and someone can C4 it or you can fire your 4x Anti-tank rocket launchery thing

yea it needs to do something more. does EMP blackout prevent other killstreaks from being activated?

i find it more useless than stealth bomber, which is a pretty bad killstreak too.

Yes, it does stop killstreaks on the other team during the blackout.

That is one useful thing, its just the duration is so short.

other than shutting the dar off and preventing killstreaks it doesnt really do much good. better to just mow them with a chopper gunner. that and with the M16 ill get empd by the enemy sometimes and it doesnt seem to make it any harder to shoot people lol
