Getting very annoyed

I have come back to this game after having my xbox repaired and its gone to **** really, people are either:

Using shotguns with 20ft range
Running infinitely at 100mph
Knifing you from 10 metres away with a massive swooped lunge
Stacking teams so that it ends up 6 against 3

I just dont get it, i knew the game would be arcady but this isnt fun atm its just frustrating to play, let alone the fact i have yet to get a ping anything other than 1 tiny bar whilst everyone else sits on healthy green, why is that?

EDIT: From what i have been reading the game is actually programmed so that if 11 players are sitting with a healthy ping situated over in Asia (or anywhere else in the world except the US) THEN a player from the US joins it automatically makes them the host of the server regardless to whether it would benefit any or all of the players in the server, how crappy is that?

They have but you can get round it using FMJ and it sets their range back to normal.

Im really disliking the fact that if i have a good ping i do very well, however its a 1 in 48 hours worth of play chance to establish this good connection, all the other time im stuck the only person with a ****ty ping and coming bottom of the board. I dont understand why it would match me to a server that clearly isnt suited to me!

Apparently not...this sounds interesting.
I heard the 1887 range is pre 1.7 when you use just 1.
I shall try this FMJ when i get up to that level again.

It is for all other guns but for the models its seems to restore them to before the last patch, no doubt its been noticed already and they will try to fix it again.

no, Robert Bowling says they will wait on PC and 360 patches to see how PS3 one goes apparently. PS3 is the hamster in the cage for now

I dont understand this because I know for 100% sure the range has already been reduced on PC.

Or do you mean a different bug or the FMJ bug?

yea the PC patch that nerfed 1887's range has been out for a bit now. if anything PC is the testing bed since there's no certification system required on PC.

Cant say i've had the connection problems you explained, but the team balance can get annoying, even though people can join games already in progress.

As for the running and knifing, it can get a little tiresome, but not enough to make me not want to play.

People who run around with the GL, Thumper, Danger Close and Scavenger make my blood pressure rise though!

Exactly lol, literally just had a game where the same guy ran around with the FAMAS + Tube and he didnt shoot bullets once, his secondary was the Thumper and he was top of his team.
