I doubt that. "Hardcore" to a lot of people just translates to "annoying."

Nooo, not hardcore .. please dont go down the same road as Call of Duty... I don't even want to even remind myself of CoD when im playing this game, or even see or feel some kind of visual/gameplay comparison

Well you don't have to play hardcore, it is there for those that do. I personally hate hardcore myself on COD but will have to wait and play hardcore mode for BFBC2 before I make a judgment call.

I just ran a test on the lab to see if I come close to maxing out on recommended. Didn't even come close. I barely passed minimum with my ATi Radeon HD 4870. Plus I got a recent problem with my graphic card lately so I might even post a help thread on the forums. I havn't played a game since BF2. I'm wondering what my max pixel frame size could go out with my 26" TV ?

Wondering how if so will going from ATi Radeon HD 4870 to ATi Radeon HD 4870 x2 incrase the game flow and clear all the minor lags ? More ram space, and incrased clock core speed ?

I like the sound of hardcore mode as well even if increased weapon damage seems unnecessary imo. You already kill very fast with normal damages.
Really? Please be my guest and elaborate on your claim...

                I will.

They focused on making it gimmicky instead of actually concentrating on gameplay. While they were at it, they made it easier and more appealing to casual gamers for the money of course.

                Makes for a worse game.

Well then I guess that's what voice communication is for right? The US Marines' Watch Dogs (UAVs) can't magically show them where the enemy is. Hence they use a radio to reveal the position.

So hopefully there will be some kind of global communication with the UAV when in use.

I think the biggest problem is how you can just fly to the enemy base, and shoot a missile at their UAV operator.

I am not understanding what is so "gimmicky" about it. And what is the problem with appealing to the casual audience? of course they are going to be driven by money...every company is otherwise games and services would be free.

This would be a great idea for hardcore mode. Squad leaders should be able to communicate as well but seems as though we don't have squad leaders on consoles that might be a bit of a problem for us.

Indeed that is a problem. It would be a shame if you couldn't communicate. On the other hand I'm not too sure I want little 12 year olds screaming down the microphone, "NO NO NO HE'S OVER THERE GO KILLLL HIM, FOLLOW MY ORDERS!"

Won't happen if you have a pre-made squad, it is what I am planning.

I usually play with my clan, and when there isn't 5 clan buds and it's pub players I don't mind so long as they stick together. If they're off doing their own thing I kindly tell them to leave otherwise I kick them out of the squad.

If I'm in a bad mood I'll TK them first then just kick them out. There's nothing I can't stand more than somebody who not only doesn't follow orders but on top of that he's a prick.

Gimmicky. Ever play CoD2? Even that game was consolized and the gameplay was much better than it is now. Now its all about the killstreaks, the semi automatic snipers, the assault rifles with no recoil, the nukes... not to mention all the badness that came out of IWNet.

Basically, its fun for a little while... then it just loses its touch after you unlock everything because there isn't anything to get better at because - you can't get any better because of how they made the game.

I fail to see your point? Yes an aspect of the game is that, not all. And to say it is all about certain things is similar to saying:
"Battlefield is all about large maps" or "Call of duty is about killing people". It is apart of the game you have to accpet, Like I say many time, If you do not like it don't play it.
You obviously haven't played much of the game, I have placed through my first prestige already (as you may have guessed) and I suppose that was the intention. If you look at cod4 now there are huge amounts of Lv55's. I like the prestige as it differentiates the players. Of course if you are stuck on one level for a while it will be boring.
