BF2 Multiplayer OK, SF expansion NOT OK

Hi TGN! :salute:

I recently purchased a replacement copy of good ol' BF2:Complete Collection via D2D and got a key (one key) with the DL.
Installed and used the key, ran the game and can play BF2 orig. online, no problem.

When I go to play Special Forces online, it claims the 'cd key is not valid for Special Forces addon'.... ? What?

So, does the one key for D2D download/purchases cover both BF2 and the SF expansion, or should I have gotten 2 keys from D2D or something?
Opened a ticket at EA, but nothing yet.

I got that one. There should be 2 keys one for vanilla and one for SF. It should be printed on the back of the manual.

Thank you, yes that was how it was when I bought the Collection DVD.

I had lost the disc, and EA support said the only recourse was to purchase another copy (of course) and so I purchased another copy via Direct2Drive (so that you don't need a disc to play!) which worked fine, except that they only gave ONE key with the purchase.

It worked for installation and works for Original/Vanilla BF2, but does not appear to work for the Special Forces expansion (which is part of the Collection Purchased)... it gives an error saying 'key is not valid' - but D2D gave one the one key, not 3 as the retail box version does...

Search for activating the SF key. A remember something about that for people that have downloaded the files. I belive that you should have the SF activated from EA.
