Hidden Post Reveals New Bad Company 2 Map - Panama Canal
Re: Hidden Post Reveals New Bad Company 2 Map - Panama Canal
BF-BC2 engine > Crysis engine
This made me lol. Im willing to bet that the houses will always collapse the same. Its all very cleverly scripted, otherwise they would have actually advertised BFBC2 having superb physics.

Debris from broken buildings in BFBC2 disappear almost instantly. Debris from broken buildings in Crysis don't go away.
In Battlefield Bad Company 2 you can flatten buildings and terrain. In Crysis there are tons of bunkers and big buildings, except you can't even scratch them. In BF-BC 2 you can at least pop holes into them, if not destroy ever wall.
I wasn't too impressed by the destruction systen in BF-BC2, because it seems only buildings and terrain can be damaged. No bridges, containers, or walls.

In Crysis, after you smash your jeep through a hut, you can take pieces of the hut and throw them at the North Koreans.
I usually punch the jeep into the building... cool voice/ Maximum strength!
It's not actually destroyed though, it's just taken apart. In BF-BC2 the things you can destroy actually have rubble, not Crysis. Like I said, it's just tin sheets.

its called an observation, troll.
whether from one screenshot or not, i am noting some similarities, hence the comment, moron.
Even if the maps looked completely identical, one of them will be running on a dedicated server, while the other one will be running on some guys PIII in Elbonia.
Seriously though, I dont see that much of a simlarity. One third world battlefield looks like the other. As long as the games try to look realistic, they will end up looking like each other.

crysis was impressive, but it ran like crap on anything below top spec hardware. so no thanks, i'll take frostbite engine.
30 - 40fps on high at 1280x1024 with 9600GT, AMD dual-core 3.1ghz, 3GB of RAM
I'd say that's pretty good considering how good the graphics and physics are, how big the maps are and how my comp is very low end compared to the top of the line :wee:
