A realism mode...

Interestingly, EA and DICE have introduced a new feature for the game. Called Realism mode, body parts can be more realistically damaged, and it take fewer shots to make a kill. Friendly fire is on, there is no kill cam, mini map is gone, enemies don't show up with icons, and there is no crosshair. It is a mode for people well beyond my skill level, and the ranking here should help separate the wheat from the chaff.

I really think you're making too big a deal out of this. We're getting much better, more frequent news and luckily no lying to make the game look better.

Compare DICE's BF-BC2 release to Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising. I think they're both great games, but I prefer DICE's way of marketing to be honest.

Oh god... I absolutely love it how they tell that "hardcore" mode takes way more skill. :laugh:

I dont have a problem with it, though. Its merely additional options. But if COD4+ has ever taught me anything, then adding additional options in, usually means that the developers are trying tp push as much stuff through, because they cant/wont release an SDK.

So, minus one hope down for BFBC2 SDK.

And whoever barges in here and tells that realism makes the game better, you can close the door back up again, from the other side.
