Distinct lack of news at the moment?

Is it me? or is there a distinct lack of news/info right now?


Granted that we're ~4 months from release, but after the recent influx of media and news, it seems to have gone pretty quiet.

I would suspect a bunch of people are tied up with the Beta, does anyone know if there is more news/thread updates on the closed forums for this?

i too have noticed this, they prolly are busy with the beta and other stuff, im hoping there spending extra attention on the PC version :P

PS3 beta was released recently and the PC beta is coming soon.

And they just gave out the specifics about the PC version. There is tons of PS3 beta footage. I'm not sure what else you want cause they've given out just about all the information I can think of. In a months time if there are no further delays we should be playing the PC beta or demo.

I also personally don't care since I have a friend with a PS3, I gave him a beta code so we both get to check it out.

finally, it is the holiday season. Let them have some time off.

They nailed down the engine requirements for the pc, yeah, not really much news though.

As i said, i guess they're dealing with beta feedback, at least i hope they're getting feedback.

I've watching a bunch of peoples beta vids, some are very good, others are worse than terrible.
However, i was referring to news/info supplied about the game, not something a fan has made.

Any recommendations of good beta gameplay vids with direct feed sound?

Some of the early vids were quite good because of the information provided about the game.

Unfortunately, as she just plays on in the later ones, the main sound track is her being a little confused and very little of the game at all. Which is a shame because the sound is so very good on this game.

they are probably working their a$$ off on PC beta. to my knowledge, no screenshots and video clips existed that was taken from a PC version. which leads me to think there was no PC build in existence. so they're probably working to get the PC beta done so it can get out early 2010.

Right now, the devs are in crunch time. Many are working overtime and working their a$$es off. The only thing we've seen from the BC2 PC is the Squad Stories Atacama Trailer. That trailer was made the engine, not CGI. So I'm assuming to make it look that good, they used AA which the PC would use. That Squad Stories trailers looks so clean and better looking than the other trailers. I bet the PC will look like that.

Also, if you check the screenshots, those were taken with higher resolutions, AA, etc to make them look very good. Now with a good graphics card, BC2 will look amazing. Consoles ares restricted, so it won't look as good.

Hmm yeah, i guess if they're not in crunch mode now, they're certainly entering it.

That trailer name made me go back and find it, [media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WLbdsr3ZdgY[/media] that's an edited version i believe, but i'm not sure they got the tank info right, it's only two players, right?

Also, i've seen publishers do that kind of video presentation before, unless the dev's specified it, i don't believe it was all in engine until the end when i think it was just morphed into the engine.

Well there is nothing new to say about the beta... And any other news would probably be about mod support and as that is missing. There is your gaping hole in the news reel.
