Man Does This Game have some epic music

This is one of the few times I have taken the time to sit and marvel at the masterpiece loading tunes I have been listening to over the past years. I'm listening to the mp3s in entertainment mode with X-Fi. I found the mp3s on a game music site.

Does anyone else think these songs add an epic glaze to this game? :salute:

most definitely the more under-rated part of this game.

i really enjoy the music as well. it's obviously overlooked, at players want to join as soon as the "join server" button appears. if you change your video settings and have to wait for the shaders and settings to adjust, you get a better chance of listening.

I sometimes find myself humming the main tune when I'm happy.

The Wake Island version is not really my cup of tea, but the others are all top notch!

I quite liked the wake one, very exciting and really set the mood I feel.
BF series and CoD have good music selectors.

I think it's gripping music. better than most sound tracks. But BF2 had better music. The rebel anthem based on the BF2 theme was awesome. And the intro video for Special Forces is epic.

But then it's all personal taste they tell me.

I like both, but the first time I watched the 2142 intro (in 5.1 of course!) I thought it sounded pretty epic.

I think pumping up the Volume and listening to Verdun, Minsk, and Sidi are the best. I remember how the Sidi loading music in the demo just made me wonder how awesome all the other maps were.

I hate the bf2 music; the China one is ok, but when I get stuck listening to the same daym loading music over and over on a game that takes forever to load, it gets old really quick.

Yeah BF2 takes so long to load that sometimes it loops through more than once when waiting for "Verifying Client Data". Never had that problem with 2142, so maybe that's why it hasn't gotten so old for me. I'm usually humming along as the map loads!

btw, you can just play the OGG files which is in your installation folder. VLC media player will play OGG.

and 2142 music pwns BF2's. not even close.

For some reason BF2142 music reminds me of the game Dune 2000's music. Westwood games always had awesome music.
