The Battlefield 2 engine is around 10 years old.

From a post on yahoo answers
                      http://answers.yahoo.com/question/in...7124824AAlfDB6
It's on the Refractor Engine; it's not made by EA or Dice but they own it.
                      Wikipedia says this:
"The Refractor Engine, is a game engine designed by Stockholm-based studio Refraction Games, first developed for the computer game Codename Eagle, which was released in November 1999. Since then, Refraction Games was bought by Digital Illusions CE, and working alongside with the Refraction Games team, designed and developed the Refractor 2 Engine for the famous Battlefield game series for the computer.[1] The following list of games uses the Refractor 2 Engine: Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield Heroes."

The battlefield 2 game is 4 to 5 years old.

You guys should know what happens next in the development of the battlefield engine. Frostbite engine for the current released battlefield games and there's development for Frostbite engine 2 for the future games using directx 11.

For the picture of the day, I think that convoy was probably a decoy and hopefully the real important folks made it out of there safely...or not. lol
