Console Gamers make a Petition for Region Filters

Right so please try and understand this.

After about a month of the Console side of gaming pretty much not giving a crap about us PC gamers loosing Dedicated Servers, after about a month of them practically ****talking PC gamers and telling them to give up, they start a petition.

This Petition is about how international gamers are getting thrown into games in America, and how all of their games are laggy and so forth.

Im not exactly the one to shout Hypocrite after my "boycotting" incident :p, but here is what I see.

• "Lol pc guys you suck accept it P2P ownz"

• "wtf lag this is **** lets start a petition"

If IW bends over the make the console crowd happy (as in they give Consoles a region filter but nothing more for the PC), then I think it may be time to hang up the keyboard and mouse, well untill BC2 comes out.

What are your thoughts on this?

Because sometimes in life, it's not about the money, but I doubt IW or Steam or Activition see it that way ofcourse.

Yea, but what i'm saying is that it doesn't matter anymore. Times change and now consoles are massively outselling PC. It doesn't matter who was there first, it matters who is there now.

To a single person maybe, but to a corporation that has shareholders to pay, it certainly is about money. That's capitalism for you.

Oh, I understand that, i'm pretty miffed about the whole thing. I just don't think using the "we made CoD happen" slogan really does anything. It's kinda a moot point,

You can see it as hypocracy and the 360 crowd getting what they deserve....

or

PC people can throw this divide behind them and join up to make the game itself better.

For everyone that owns the game, who would not benifit from a filter like this? Something that can be turned on and off to improve latency and the overall experience. Slow night finding a game, turn it off and go around the world.

Personally, I dont see this as a 360 only issue and since this game is a port for all platforms anyway, it could be added to all.

What you're saying is that since it's a port, that they can update all 3 platforms with the same content?
If that were so, Dedis wouldn't be as sought after cos connectivity wouldn't be that bad!

So IMHO they should fix matchmaking instead of introducing arbitary filters.

I won't sign it.

No matter how 'mature' it is to sign it and 'break down the barrier between PC/console' nobody will see it that way. Console players will just see it as them getting their way and being superior to PC gamers because the developers listened to them.

And this. The matchmaking system should have worked in the first place. Then again, IW said they were fine playing with about 100ms, which is completely ridiculous.

I can count on one hand with 3 fingers, that means 3 times for all you slow fellars, how many times I've had connection problems while in game.

I don't see this as hypocracy at all, I agree with Crunch's second point, this could help all of the platforms, not just consoles.
