you have to play on ranked servers and accumulate points

when you get a certain number of points you go up in rank

when you reach certain ranks you are allowed to unlock a gun

if your a new player, probably 500-1000 points a day.

If your new to BF2 you probably are unaware that there is a patch for the game download it first.

its a booster pack, sort of mini addon that was released a while ago for BF2

back then you had to buy it as a seperate title but with the latest patch for BF2 it is added for free (along with the armoured fury booster pack) so you get basically 6 more maps etc

if u have special forces, you get 2x the unlocks for each rank up
