    Jerans Guide to Open NAT

    Alright fellow gamers.
I, like probably some of you, was stuck with a 'Strict' NAT setting and finding games could be difficult at times. Also www.infinityward.com/NAT.php didnt help at all. And perhaps your UPnP is already enabled on your router (Like me) and you still get that damned red Strict.
    Well HAVE NO FEAR!
I figured out how to open the correct ports to change from Strict to Open

First you need a static IP address. Go http://www.portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm << there to set one up.

Once you have a static IP login to your router. Default is: 10.1.10.1

Once there go to your port page.

There should be a list of opened ports (or not)
Below these should be a button called 'Add New'
Click that and you should get something like this:

Put the following info into each box:

    App: iw4mp1
    Public/Private: 1500
    IP: your static IP

then click add New and do it again just append the app name with the next number.

    App: iw4mp2
    P/P: 3005
    IP: Same

    App:iw4mp3
    P/P: 3101
    IP: same

    App: iw4mp4
    P/P: 28960
    IP: same

Once youve filled all these out, your end result or port list should look like this:

(The blacked out part will be your IP)

Now just start up MW2 and if you did this correctly it'll say OPEN.
I am very please that i was able to OPEN my NAT, since i had a Strict connection before.

Also for those of you wondering. MW2 is not posted on www.portforward.com yet.

Is that supposed to be TCP or UDP? I cant chose more than one protocol in my router.
