I was really hoping this game would bomb on PC but it looks like this isn't the case. Now its the top damn game on steam with more people playing it then CS:Source, a PC FPS with no Mods, no Dedicated servers, no custom maps and only 9 vs 9. Developers look to COD as the industries success now they may follow there example and make more FPS games with no dedicated servers in the future. I heard that RAGE game by ID sofware is going to have no Dedicated servers also. This really blows, PC gaming is becoming console gaming. .

Yeah, the game is brand new and is going to be huge right now. We do not know the longivity of the game at all.

Not to mention that even though people are trying it out, doesnt mean they like it. They are giving it a chance. The sales and what IW does in MW3 will say if the PC community has accepted it or not.

What can you say? It's the sequel to one of the best FPSs of all time, of course people who played CoD4 are going to try MW2.

Still I hope that those people who bought the game will see that it's just CoD4 with slightly improved graphics, a new singleplayer and more guns in MP. Oh and ridiculous killstreak bonuses.... still can't get over what they were thinking when they came up with those.

I am afraid that things aren't looking very good for PC dudes. Even if most players eventually drop MW2 on PC, IW already made millions, not to mention dozens of millions on consoles. The original developers in IW are reaching their 40s, and are probably concerning about making a few big ones then retire early, than serving the community that made them rich possible.

Screwing PC seems to be the gaming industrial standard now.

91K is nothing compared to...



That's over a million users online (over 900k of them actually in a game). Xbox LIVE broke the record for players online too with just over 2 Million users playing a game online (just over half is because of MW2 ^^)

That doesn't even include the other 3 million+ players who bought the game and may have been playing the single player / spec-ops part...

MW2 itself didnt break the record, It just contributed in a very large way by being more that 50% of the 2 mill players online
