It was the Xbox 360 in the video. It showed a blue X, Green A, and Red B for Reload, Stand/Jump, and Crouch.

Yes, Most FPS games on consoles come with "Aim Assist" or an Aim Bot that allows you to acquire and easily defeat targets.

Yes it was like this in the CoD4 training also, but I don't remember it being so prevalent in the actual single player missions.

Yes it was like that in CoD4 training but it was never actually useful in the SP.

It's in lots of console games as sort of a compensation for lacking the mouse precision I guess, or helping provide for a faster paced game that the console market prefers.

There's a section in cod4 training dedicated to using the aim assist and i'm pretty positive it works in MP too. But no it doesn't work for insta-headshots with a sniper rifle.
