    Included maps, SPOILER!

Was checking out one of the many xbox 'streaming' videos and it looks like there's no U.S. themed PvP maps, there's a couple for Spec-ops.

Seems like IW wants to really milk those DLC map packs :dead:

    Complaining too much?

Maybe, but let's consider one of the main draws to the game is bringing the war home and there are obviously some pretty cool settings in the single player portion that would have been equally cool in PvP multiplayer settings.

Gee, if only this game were being released with mod tool support we wouldn't have to wait around for IW to "bless us" with a 'main street USA', Whitehouse or Stripmall type map. :shakehead:

That is strange they didnt have those. Maybe they will be DLC. Hard to tell with IW.

When CoD4 came out, Whiskey found an area showing pictures of some maps that were removed from the game, they were later added as Broadcast and Creek. Those were not all of them though.

What ever happened to Whiskey, He was really helpful.

I dont see why they need to have DLC, i see it as a way of milking the customer for more money.

I dont know. I miss him though. I guess real life got in the way or something.

DLC is a way to keep the game fresh and give more options. In theory its not a bad idea. In practice though it doesnt always work well and tends to split a community.

Sorry about the missing [spoiler] tag.

402 was pretty dodgy when talking about DLC for the PC, in that Bashcast he seemed adamant about how there had been only official announcements of planed DLC for the console, not the PC.

I can imagine they'll be console exclusive for a couple of months and then get released on the PC, who knows if they'll be free by way of corporate sponsored release - weren't most of the WaW map packs sponsored by Intel?

The included maps looked like a list of been there done that, the airport one was the only pvp map that looked 'modern'.

There's also no way to filter out maps to play in public matches, if I understood what has been said so far about how IW.net is suppose to work.

Its no big deal on the tags so far, I dont think. Now that the game is leaked out there is a ton of stuff coming up.

As for the DLC, I doubt PC will be getting it free anymore. I would be surprised.

Not that IW is worried about good moves right now, but if they removed mods and dedicated servers AND did not provide DLC, free or otherwise, that would be very bad.

I honestly wouldnt be surprised if the main MW2 single player campaign has a cliff hanger ending whereby to play the rest you need to buy the DLC.

If anyone buys DLC for the PC at this point, I would be very surprised. No dedicated servers, no mods, no custom maps, no resales and GUARANTEED late DLC due to M$ buying exclusive timed content for the platform they really give a deuce about? For shame. This is after 402 claimed all platforms would have an equal experience. This is after M$ claimed with their Games for Windows initiative that they actually gave a crap about the PC. This is after 402 claimed the PC gaming experience would be the same as it always has been.

Why would anyone trust any of the companies involved in all of this after all of these shenanigans? Why would anyone even buy this game in the first place after being called a weak-willed moron? Because that's what it really boils down to. When someone lies to your face and then demands money, they're calling you a stupid dip****. Buying their product just proves them right.
