Battlefield 2 to refuses to install

I decided to install bf2 again and play some mods etc...As I went to install it the small window came up, I pressed install as your supposed to do. Then the Battlefield 2 screen pops up with the fast loading bar at the bottom, then all of the sudden a window suddenly flashes (probably the install window) and then goes away. There is no way for me to install the game, it does this every time. What is wrong? How do I fix this?

No I didn't, I remember battlefield 2 had some shader error. I deleted it from the ea games folder then deleted it from the recycling bin.

Deleted or uninstalled? If you just deleted the folders there will still be some entries for BF2 in the registry.

        Run > "regedit" > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE

Back up your registry first and then delete all the stuff that relates to BF2, under the DICE or EA folders.

Alright I deleted all those things from the registry. The same thing still happens, the BF2 screen pops up it loads quick a green window appears suddenly and goes away in less then a second. It will not install at all, how am I going to fix this? It seems the only way would be to get a new computer. . This is really stupid, I have no idea why it would do this.

This method has worked for me.
