Like 2007 For Gaming?

Pre-ordering Left For Dead 2 today got me thinking back a couple years to 2007. That for me was like the best year of gaming in recent memory. So many good games came out of that final quarter that i had a problem, much like now, prioritizing my games.

2007 had COD4. L4D. Crysis. Medal of Honor: Airborne. Halo 3 was also out. Team Fortress 2. Bioshock. Portal.

There were some of those games that i didnt like all that much, but MOHA/COD4/L4D/Portal for me personally were brilliant.

Some such as H3 and Crysis left me feeling a little flat, but you can't make every game awesome.

Just wondering what games and years you guys liked?

2010 Q1 seems pretty damn sweet.

Bioshock 2, Assassins Creed 2, BF1943 and BFBC2, Brink, Starcraft 2 etc

2010 Q1 seems pretty damn sweet.

Bioshock 2, Assassins Creed 2, BF1943 and BFBC2, Brink, Starcraft 2 etc

Two things: AC 2 is next month haha...but more importantly, there's also God of War III on the horizon. Its been my most anticipated game of the last two years.

2004 defiantly BF2 came out, and WoW for the casual gamer. I think MMORPS'es MMOFPS'es and MMORPG's coming out in 2010 will make everyone that own consoles wish they had a PC. StarCraft 2 and BF3 will do that as well.

half-life, starcraft, tom clancy's: rainbow six, unreal, the everquest beta, final fantasy 7 (even though most played it on the PS i bet)

2004 defiantly BF2 came out, and WoW for the casual gamer. I think MMORPS'es MMOFPS'es and MMORPG's coming out in 2010 will make everyone that own consoles wish they had a PC. StarCraft 2 and BF3 will do that as well.

didnt BF Vietnam come out in '04? I thought BF2 came out in '05?

1996-2001

Duke 3D, Jagged Alliance, Unreal, Half-Life, Thief, System Shock 2, goddamn Quake 2, Deus Ex, Nolf, Civ 3 etc.
These games were the s*it. Especially Duke 3D and Quake 1/2 on lan.
