Well, EA won't have ever run a 128 player server. Those that were created crashed when they got close to the max limit.

I think you are only talking about one type of skill, pressing keys and moving a mouse vs tactical skill, its different.

What is this so called "tactical skill". Im a SWAT4 player, experience in almost all old Tom Clancy titles (still regarded as top realistic shooters, by the way). It would be interesting to know. Yes, tactical realistic games involve a different playstyle than fast paced arcade shooters. No, tactical realistic games do not require even nearly as much physical effort and speed of thought as fast paced shooters.

In simpliest form, skill in FPS is the ability to use your mouse and keyboard to manipulate the game. Which type of game requires more APM?

As for your last part. I could argue this further, but considering theres no argumentation behind your post, it would be pointless.

Hasn't arrived yet.
Ordered it with Win 7 and another software which isn't available at the moment.

TWL might have something competitive related.

Oh and people still play the demo :shock::shock:

TWL doesn't have a lot of clans either. It's astonishing, The UT community is tiny compared to BF2 but competition-wise it seems to be heads and shoulder above.

And yes, the demo seems to be popular

I play alot of AIX which in most cases is more intense than vanilla. Im not a pro leet player by far but I can hold my own, more in the air rather than land because me ping is a big disadvantage..


I still haven´t come across any situation in bf2 or mods that came close to FSX, perhaps maybe in the project reality mod quite a while ago but other than that none...

Have you ever tried 1 vs 1 dogfights against semi or full professional level pilots? If youre flying like DICE intended you to back in 2004, then your APM is going to be low and the gameplay will not involve much physical or mental input.

Ahem. A hobby? Its a computer.

The "professional" part is obvious to anyone who has played multiplayer games for some time, means a competitive player with a lot of skill.

But considering you would want to nitpick at it some more, Fatality and hundreds of South-Korean professional gamers say hi. And I mean "professional" in every sense of the word. Licences to play in professional leagues and teams, six* figure annual income, playing videogames as work, the whole shabang.

I dont know, Alex. Considering your hobby is tinkering around with your computer, and youve spent at least a couple of thousand hours playing computer games, that either comes off as a little ironic or youre just messing around here

Because quite honestly, I wouldnt say no to getting 6 figure paychecks and having female fangroups chasing me as if I was an Asian Timberlake (that really is happening, S-Korea is nuts).

I wish WarGimp was here. Considering the fact that the average age of a videogamer is 30-35, and that close to 300-400 million computers are sold each year, gaming is no longer something "teenagers" do. For someone so avid in videogames and tech, you sound way too backwards. Seriously.
