Lol I did not expect to see this again, let alone on TotalBF2.

That's Codename Eagle : Legends by Rexman (last time I spoke to him he was coding for Kaos Studios), It was basically Codename Eagle content ported to the BF2 engine as a test of the BF2 modding tools.

It had CTF and CE vs BF2 mode, one ported CE map (No Mans Land) and some quirky extras like seats on the wings of planes (yep before BF Heroes did it).

If I recall correctly it was one of the first mods to be released for BF2, although it's considered a beta version and Rex hasn't really added anything to it since then.

I don't think Rex has updated it for BF2 1.5 so you'll need 1.41 to test it, anyway you can DL it and find out more at the website (poorly made by myself): http://www.rex3d.net/bf2ce/

Hopefully Rex updates it for 1.5 sometime, It is obviously a somewhat 'dodgy' mod considering it's content is just ported from CE but I'd definitely play it over vBF2.

The original CE had a troubled MP run with late patches, not many knew it existed or that it could be so fun. Gamespy praised it in their top 25 most underrated games of all time: http://archive.gamespy.com/articles/...d/index7.shtml

It's still a hilarious game to play on LAN, especially when you replace the .wav files for the vehicle engines so they play music instead in varying tempo (eg. Wagner in the chopper).
