I could write a report on the community's outcry for dedicated server support, but it would simply be more effective for those concerned about the issue to sign this petition.

While some of you casual players may not see the full repercussions of IW's changes, the proposed/implemented changes will severely hinder the mod and competitive community, and will greatly limit the game's potential.

IW deleted the first thread, and will probably delete the new one. Just sign the other petition!

Last I checked, if you assume that each signature means that the signer will no longer purchase the game, IW is missing out on $828,420 in sales.

As much as those figures sound potentially disasterous for IW, i honestly can imagine more than 90% will eventually buy the game.

The important thing is the people canceling the pre-orders. Those are actual numbers IW can see from the retailers. For every cancelled pre-order is a confirmation to the petition signatures.

Even if people plan to get the game anyway, by doing that, it shows IW whats really happening.

What`s the point? Petitions don`t work and I bet my arse majority of those who signed it will still buy it.
MW sold a million on the PC, now they will sell 995 000, big loss.

The petition for IW to put dedicated servers into CoD MW2 has finally reached 100k+ in less 4 days.

Also i was over at the IW forum for MW2 PC and I found this. It may not be real but we can all hope it is:

fourzerotwo: Definitely made a big wave, and the response will not be ignored. I'll ensure everyone at IW sees the petitions and responses to it.

Hopefully they will reconsider and add dedicated server support. Cross your fingers.

Although, I wonder how many are dupes? Are there any measures against artificially inflating the amount?

I'm not saying there isn't a need for dedi's, more that it is a lot of signatures :p
