Localization files don't work on Vista 64-bit?

My old system died so I bought a new one that came with Vista 64-bit. I d/l the localization files for 1.5, put them in the proper folder, start game, but notice the localization files don't work. I go back and look at the english.utxt file and see all the added mods so I don't know what localization file the game is using. It's very odd. Any ideas?

Hmm. I can't really think of anything that would cause that if you did everything correctly.

make sure to completely move (or delete) the old localization files somewhere else. BF2 will still access them even if they are renamed. you cant keep them in the same folder.
Other than that, they should work fine. I'm on vista x64 and mine work.
