All map servers are in RED and not launching!

I haven't played BF2 for a little over a month or so and now when I launch BF2 all the map servers are RED on multiplayer. Not sure why. There were loads of map servers to pick from a month or so ago and they were all white...I could click to play any of them just fine a month ago. Now they are all red links and a message comes up when I click one of them that says: "You have an older version than the server". What does that mean? Older version of what? It just worked a month ago. How do I get all these maps to be active for me again?

I did install the 1.50 patch to see if that would help...It did not. I see the new map servers as a result of the 1.50 patch but they are also red and do not launch.

Sounds like 1.50 didn't install properly!

Well, the map servers were all red and not working BEFORE I installed the 1.50 patch. I install the patch and the new maps that came with it are just like all the others (red links) and not working. Saying: "I have an older version than the server". when I try to click on one of the servers to play a map. I don't get it. Not sure why I have an older version now but it was fine a month ago when I was playing it hard.

Can you try patching with 1.5 again?

I suppose I can, but I guess I'm thinking that that might not really be the issue since the map servers were all red and non functional prior to this install and just a month ago they were all fine. Isn't that weird? I mean, I can even see some of the new maps that came with the 1.5 patch so doesn't that mean the install worked? Sorry, I am probably just being nieve to all this. Thanks for your patience....

OK, I never noticed my version before. Looks like I have Version 1.41 - 1.1.2965-797.0

I did just install 1.50 patch but perhaps it did not take?? Is that possible? Reinstall 1.5?

In any case....Why did all the servers work a month ago without ANY updates installed and now they are not? What would cause that?

What is recommended here at this point to get all my servers back up again?

Sounds like 1.50 didn't install properly!

Can you try patching with 1.5 again?

I dont know what you could try that would be simple than uninstall and reinstall.

Regarding an install - I presume I would loose all my rankings, metals, etc and essentially am starting over??

Not at all - your rank and unlocked weapons are stored online at EA's server, so as long as you remember your account name and password you can reinstall and re-patch as much as you want.
