In my years of BF2, it's rare to come across something new. However, I was on USMC on Wake and we had taken the runway base (where the Chinese chopper and heli spawn).

Someone flies over in an F35 and starts to hover. He positions himself over the Chinese command centre vehicle and begins to drop bombs. While he drops, the bombs reload from the runway giving him a stream of bombs like a B-52 bomber!

Hr dropped about 15 in a row (no pause as it reloaded) and eventually blew up the command centre. I thought the server was modded, but apparently it's just not a widely known about glitch/tactic.

Perhaps im just slow?

Fairly common knowledge. I do this to friendlies on the carrier when they shoot me with the essex guns.

Me and a friend of mine will try to get two F35Bs, go both supports, get to max hover height and tandem-bomb the sh!t out of the flags. Considering this thread, the timing of the idea is amusing.

Yep. It reloads you as you drop them. It helps when you have an enemy right near your jet on the ground while your taking off.

I've heard about the reloading bit but using it to destroy assets is something new! Though its sounds like a bit of a waste of time and it leaves you very open by the sounds of it.

It's not really the runway, it's the scan trailer that reloads you. Take Oman for instance. If you are on MEC all you need to do to rearm is fly over the scan trailer. You don't have to go all the way down the runway, just across that trailer to completely reload.

No it isn't... it's that green box with the little antenna poking out with a flag on it. I don't know what you would call it.

The scan trailer is the satellite transmission thing.

And that's almost the exact set of words I sent to a bunch of people on Xfire the first time I flew in 1.5.

You think the cannons are crazy... Try the fckin TV's.. I'm hitting so many ****ing retarded shots on jets it's crazy. There is no longer the mentality of just "head on shot" and "@ss shot" or don't waste your time... You can hit them from any angle you want with ease now.

This basically makes a good chopper crew the top of the foodchain if the jet isn't 100% aware of who is in the other chopper in a pub match.

It's pretty much at the point, for example, I will see two fighters in a dogfight and actively try to hit the enemy fighter with a TV and most of the time hit him on the very first shot. This is in a full turn etc.

It's like a flying mobile AA.

I remember telling a friend that 1.5 made hitting jets with tv's stupidly easy, he said I was pulling his leg, he then piloted on OSS with me gunning, lets say a fair few jets saw an early demise, and he retracted his comment!

BTW- when did they completely overnerf the bombers laser guided missiles?

I assume you are talking about the F-15 without realizing it..

The F-15 has always had less splash damage for some weird reason. All the other bombers are fine.. but the F-15 is pretty fail.

I never thought about that, I know when you are on the essex, you can bomb the heck out of if it's your ship and you constantly reload. I will have to try that trick, it's cheap, but may be an alternative to some sort of use, possibly.
