Getting this error message today. I just yesterday reinstalled BF2, Special Forces and the 1.5 patch. Worked fine last night, not touched a thing and today it's decided to be a little git. Have tried searching, not found anything helpful yet. Has anyone got any clue how to solve this? Thanks in advance.

are you having the same issue as me? I just installed 1.5 this morning and everytime i try to log on my copy of BF2 gets the error of "The Server has Refused Your Connection"
Can anyone help? I googled but i cant find anything. -

Well I solved my problem. Peerguardian was blocking BF2 connecting to IGN Entertainment. Disabled PG and it's all good.
Maybe you have Peerguardian, or something else running in the background bloking your login like I had?Comment
