Didn't notice this before, but *Spoiler*

I made an avatar based on some official game art/box art and I looked at the smoke and building burning in the background. Originally I thought it was a Mosque and the other versions just random buildings. When I went in close I noticed it wasn't a rounded top of a Mosque, but rather a damaged dome from the Capital building...does this mean fun times and hell raising in Washington DC. Most trailers and content we have seen has been abroad, nothing from the US yet.

Edit: In case no one noticed there are 2 versions of this picture, this one and one that is darker and smokier where you can make out what look like wrecked normal buildings.

Oh snap, i see this now. Very Interesting. Not to be anti American, but staging an assault on DC sounds like fun. Too bad this could never happen.

Not pooing on your parade, but it's not really a spoiler now. This was discussed months ago when the Game Informer magazine came out with this on the cover along with the poster for MW2. You are correct though. Nobody knows any official details yet, so we can only assume that yes, there will be a playable area in the game or that it's a metaphorical/symbolic pic on the front. It's a video game...my guess is we'll get to see that action occur.

It would make sense in the storyline also b/c of the nuke threats, dealing with enemies in the game we're dealing with. Plus, I think it would make the game more interesting and it would be a VERY wise decision imo for IW to do this, hopefully they have done just that as it appears.

It could be, but the Capital Building dome is a copy of other domes around the world.

Only thing is, is that why would they put a building that is eerily similar to the capitol buildings dome shape?

The first one was darn near a blockbuster, kept me more on the edge of my seat then any movie at that time.

Well in one of the trailers there are some kinda of CIA or FBI group doing a raid or something.. So i wouldn't be surprised to see some action on north American soil
