Why do the patch notes say they fixed hit registration when clearly it is not fixed?

Re: Hit reg
I don't see any difference at all. But one should remember that BF2 has bullet drop and distance adjustments?
So... that might skew your perspective on hit.
But it hasn't improved to be honest.Comment

Re: Hit reg
I didn't really notice it. I did take down a chopper with the tv missile, aiming for the cockpit not the tail, and it hit beautifully. A few times I emptied a clip of ak 47 in someone's face and still didn't kill them. If any improvement, it's too small or non existent for me to notice it.Comment

Re: Hit reg
Yep. Same here, both statements. Twice today I emptied my G3 clip--G3 for Pete's sake!--into a guy's back only to have him turn around and shoot me dead in one or two quick bursts. So all in all, same ol' same ol. :)Originally posted by AmericanDadA few times I emptied a clip of ak 47 in someone's face and still didn't kill them. Off-topic, but I still can't believe they didn't fix the server browser: no mouse scrolling, clicking refresh in Favorites empties the list (until next restart), etc. :shakehead:Comment

Re: Hit reg
It's Dice we are talking about... people hate it when I am sceptical about them, but once the patch is releases... OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DICE IS horrible at patch making... no one else warned us about this... boo hoo. q.qComment

Re: Hit reg
I dont think it took a big changed, but I do noticed I hit less more. I sprayed an ak to a prone enemy with in a few feets only to make his head bobble up and down for a bit. I haven' read the patch log or anything so I might be doing thing wrong unless they totally changed from standing to prone.Comment

Oh they messed with the accuracies a fair bit, it's easiest for you to just read it yourself.Originally posted by RedxInkI haven' read the patch log or anything so I might be doing thing wrong unless they totally changed from standing to prone.
If you don't prone dive the hitreg is nice, but I didn't have problems before the patch either reallyComment

Re: Hit reg
In my experience if you just burst fire taking some little breaks beatween the shots its prety good but in close combat you just have to spray and pray its like 50/50 eater you kill him eater he nails you. But i m still wondering how come the sniper is so accurate than other weapons ? if the game can canculate bullet drop why cant it do the same whit other weapons ? I think true the development of the game they had to make some sacrifayses. But in general it doest bother me though this game is awsome and ther isnt eny game out ther yet to replace this one.Comment

Re: Hit reg
Firing prone in single-fire seems to be more accurate. So far none of my rockets are passing right through tanks anymore like they were since 1.3 came out. I have to test knifing out next - it used to only take 1 stab and I'm hoping that is back to good.Comment

Re: Hit reg
Yeah but youre in europe, your internet kicks the sh!t out of the worlds, even in servers in australia the least amount of ping I get is approximately 60, but then again, I haven't played BF2 in a while, still waiting till everyone else has got the patch before I even think of getting it.Originally posted by Alex98ukIt wasn't fixed, it was improved.
And it has, i've noticed better hit reg for sure.Comment
