Re: Why so much fog?
i hate that map when ever it comes into the rotation i just go commander. I think its because i never liked infantry combat in bf2 olways played the airmaps and thats how bf2 schould be played i think. I i wanted infantry combat i could play other games for that.

It's already fortunate that for the US that the Chinese don't have the temple at the beginning and have to run to the water front, can turn into a real slaughter. Plus you can see far enough as a sniper, perfect range for the M95 and its fat cross-hairs :pOriginally posted by LeopardiImagine what would happen if a teamful of chinese AT soldiers could see the boats at US main.

Re: Why so much fog?
This was the case in the first beta versions of the map and as a result, the PLA side was constantly winning the rounds without USMC gaining any foothold.Originally posted by RangerXMLIt's already fortunate that for the US that the Chinese don't have the temple at the beginning and have to run to the water front, can turn into a real slaughter.
Based on the negative feedback, DICE made the changes to the final version so that the water front flags were neutral, giving much more balance to the map.

Re: Why so much fog?
As I've pointed out somewhere else, the visual range on Pearl is perfect for the accuracy and fat sight of the M95. Anyone, even with body armor, who has taken the slightest damage is pretty much a one hit kill. Only problem is the tanks running around and its not like I can switch my APM to RDX.

Re: Why so much fog?
I like the fog, I think it's a great map for infantry, sometimes I'm tired of doing armor. There are alot of places to hide that I've found.
It's not as foggy as Songhua Stalemate, but kinda close. That map is still a learning curve for me, but last night I did really well on it.
Has anyone used the crane in Pearl to snipe from? I mean to climb to the very top? I haven't yet, was wondering if the fog is too much from up there.
If so, then the crane is a bit useless for sniping. Maybe better for nading.

The crane that is next to Yard is a godsend, sit up there with a PKM and spam nades, it's so hard to see them coming from above.Originally posted by TheGothicAngelHas anyone used the crane in Pearl to snipe from? Re: Why so much fog?
I haven't tried it, but do you need to parachute from the crane to get to that hanging container or does it just take a few bars of health to jump on to it.Originally posted by LeopardiBest place is to drop down on the container hanging from the crane.
Thanks
