Monitor Shuts Down When Using Widescreen Res - 1.5

hey guys

i just installed the new battlefield 2 1.5 patch and finally i can now select my resolution in the video options (1440x900x32) and i went into a server and the game was playing fine, then all of a sudden my monitor shuts down and i cant get it back on unless i reset the computer, ive never had this problem before, only since 1.5, anyone have any ideas why or how i can fix this problem?

after restarting battlefield i have noticed that this has now deleted my profile from my game, i had to retrieve my account and all my video and ingame settings had been reset back to defaul with 800x600 resolution

try to manualy update your punkbuster.
or try to unplug your vga cable and put in back in ?
bf2 is known for giving you some strange errors one s a while

I have to ask. :p What on Earth do you think punkbuster has to do with his monitor going haywire?
