    What happened to the F35?

I can't talk off from the carrier anymore... No matter how high you climb in VTOL mode, when you switch to forward motion you go straight into the water...

EDIT: They broke all the jets, not just the F35... This has to be some kind of joke...

Are you using KB+M or a joystick?

Check your control configurations in the options menu and make sure everything checks out. That new "Falcon" hardware profile that they integrated caused some issues in beta testing with re-assigning commands and I'm not sure it was ever fully resolved, so you may need to re-do some calibrations post 1.5 install.

Using a joystick, I checked and everything was as it was before... I was looking for a place to disable that stupid novint falcon settings to see if that was the issue...

Also, trying to diagnose this issue while searching the web is borderline impossible because I can no longer alt tab out and back into the game...

I use keyboard only for flying and had to input all the controls, before it was there by default

sort of sucked when I began to veer into a cliff in a littlebird lol

Well just go straight afterburner off the pad (assuming that still works). You don't have to go vertical to take off.

It sounds more like an x/y axis thing rather than a z axis (throttle) thing. I use a cyborg evo for jet flying but haven't tested 1.5 out yet as I have yet to find a download site (what happened to that list Alex put up in the forums earlier? ). When I do and patch up I'm curious if mine will be arsed as well.

your old controls are wiped out for keyboard takeoff. re-issue them.

You did not read the above, I am using a joystick... And the binds are there, I even checked the profile. Anyways, I figured out the glitch based off this post at EAUK:

                Was waiting for this one
When setting your joystick do one of the two things.

Set your joystick controls in the secondary column keeping keyboard bindings in the Primary column

                OR

Set your joystick in Primary column and remove all Falcon settings in the secondary column by selecting each one then pressing ESC to remove the entry.

                Then play away.
1st: What this actually means is that if you have your joystick mappings in the primary column, you can have absolutely no keyboard commands in the secondary column for the joystick functions.

2nd: The fact that he says "I was waiting for this one" implies that they knew about this ahead of time. How about including that in some documentation? Thats like giving someone the keys to the car and forgetting to tell them that if they put it in reverse the car would blow up...

I wonder how much Novint paid to have their _________ peripheral put into a working game...

Re: What happened to the F35?

The Novint Falcon destroying joysticks bug has been known about since Beta 1. Novint must have shelled out big bucks for their overpriced dog turd of a peripheral to be supported in this game. Thanks novint.

And wth is a Falcon good for anyway? How is it any better than a mouse and keyboard?

Just keep keyboard primary/joystick secondary unless I am not understanding this properly. I've always had keyboard settings as primary and joystick as secondary. I have keyboard controls as primary and joystick as secondary so I can use WSAD keys for throttle and yaw while still using my joystick for everything else. They work together quite nicely. Doesn't sound like this has changed.

there's probably less than a handful of people who have this novint junk too... stupid move by dice. that's unless EA owns novint or is thinking of taking them over.

I have no problem with jet controls with the new patch. I can take off, use throttle and yaw with keyboard and everything else with joystick. Like I said, if you have keyboard as primary controls and joystick as secondary controls it works fine.
