We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
I might like to add that now, infantry combat is fantastic, almost a whole new game IMO. Bullets hit when you want them to, no one is prone spamming (and those who do look like idiots), and is more centered around aim and accuracy then just random.
This game just got a whole lot better, and I haven't even played the booster pack maps yet. :p
I just don't understand why they didn't implement an option to use your parachute with space as well. :p
I was just thinking this same thing myself! 9 isn't exactly the most convenient key to reach if you use WASD and I'm loathe to remap it to some other key that I'll probably forget when I need it. I remember someone here had a tip that you can remap jump and parachute to the same key by manually editing controls.con but I can't remember how.
Can you post the exact syntax? I'd love to make this change myself but I always forget about doing it until I'm in-game and am freefalling while madly fumbling for the bedamned 9 key.
i think it sucks. i dive behind cover a lot and pop up from behind cover a lot. with most cover, if you squat your head is exposed. i think i'm done with match play. game play is so dumb down you can't tell the skilled players from the nubs.
sniper's don't get the messed up aim. support really doesn't get much, maybe a .3 or .5 second.
so the kits to play now are support, sniper or noobtube. clays, nades and spawn rape FTW.

Um, not at all. Medic/assault/sniper works just fine when it comes to infantry. Support is actually made worse because of no insta-prone accuracy, and since the hit detection has been improved now you can actually shoot at people and hit them consistently, making the game less random.
I use the same tactic of popping up and down behind cover and it works just fine in most spots with crouch...
IMO infantry looks better, plays smoother, and is more aim based then before.
If you're fighting CQC, you definitely don't want to attempt a prone-dive anymore. However, say you are playing Support kit and want to defend a flag, you can go prone, wait the .3 seconds for deviation to settle and you'll have your extra accurate aim. That coupled with the better hit detection should give you a good advantage over any enemy infantry that comes into view.
It's definetly more accurate now, support weapons hit quite a bit even when firing at full auto. It's not gonna land every shot, but nor should it. I was actually having a decent few rounds with the MG36 (which i typically avoid) as it was quite accurate.
The g3 (which I also avoid) was rather accurate as well. Hitreg/hitboxes/whatever is improved.
The G3 has always been accurate for me and since it's a 7.62mm round it's a monster. Unfortunately they counter that by only giving you 20 rounds per clip. Still, it's a preferred gun for me, especially since I can't hit squat with tubes.
I used to get called a noob for using the G3 by all those TWL medic nubs who think they are elite because they run around in a squad full of medics healing and reviving each other. You're not hot **** if you and your buddies are all healing and reviving yourselves. It may be a wise tactic but if you get owned by a better gun then deal with it and stop with the stupid name calling. BF2 medic whoring will not get you a job in the real world.
