    Crash on start-up

Hey, I'm a long time BF2 player, and I decided to get back into it but after re-installation it doesn't seem to want to work for me.

    I have a widescreen monitor so I changed my "target" to "C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\BF2.exe" +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1680 +szy 1050

That didn't work so I put rem in front of the video.con file, still isn't working.

I've also tried changing the names of the movies, and moving my BF2 folder in documents.

    My specs:
    Vista 32bit
    2.4 Ghz intel duo core
    4850HD ATI card
    2 GB RAM
    700W power supply
    Widescreen monitor at 60Hz

Anyone able to help me out?

I did that and the same thing still happens, BF2 logo comes up and then crashes.

Also forgot to mention that the BF2 logo stays up for a really long time (3-5mins) before crashing.

You can also try setting +fullscreen to 0 to run the game in a window and see if you get an error message.
And update ati drivers if you haven't already.

yes definitely a graphics driver update. What's your monitor's native resolution?
