    Kicked for PB error

Heyas, i've been playing BF2 for a while with random problems here and there but nothing serious. In the last few days however i've been getting kicked for a PunkBuster error stating that it was for:

    ''Restriction: disallowed program/driver [128017]"

i've read a bit about it on other sites and most of the people that had this error used programs such as ATI tray tools, EVGA Precision tool etc. but i dont have any of these, and i dont run anything more than i usually have on my computer when BF2 loads. Pretty lost on this one, i keep getting kicked after 3 mins of being in a server. I do usually run BF2 through steam and use in game messages, but ive been doing so for over 6 months, any ideas ?

I'll have a go now without running it through steam, but i dont see why its come about now, another person i know is having the same problems.

    Help would be appreciated thanks!

    Chick :)

Can you go into your task manager and take a screenshot of running processes (all of them - stretch the window) and post it up here. I will give it a shot.

It's Steam. I had the same problem. Shut down Steam and you shouldn't have any more problems.

Sound like Steam and other programs are a no-no in this hacking world we live in.
