In this thread there is talk about the new expansion, Operation Arrowhead.
It looks as though it will be in an afgan/iraq setting, featuring the US army.

Also in the threads are responses from the BIS devs.

Its due to have a showing during Gamescom trade fair for interactive games and entertainment in Cologne, Germany 19th – 23rd August 2009

Wow, this is actually kinda dumb. Why release a game and then right away give us an expansion? wasnt arma 2 released, what, like 2 or 3 months ago?

Yea, to be honest I would have rather known and bought this game instead, but hey, if it really has enough content to be a stand-alone xpack and the price is right I will probably buy it.

ugh, I've still got Arma II to play properly I bought it played it like twice and it's sat on my shelf ever since. I wish it had a decent tutorial, and a learning curve that you don't have to play a load to get up.

And now theirs "another one", pretty much puts the nail in the coffin for me.

there was a video they released that showed how to command and use many of the features,it was very good and made it seem alot easier.

the video is on gametrailers.com and goes for like 15 minutes

there is a easy way to command thru the spacebar and mouse but also a much harder and in depth way thru the many keys on the keyboard.

Having said all that the game is quiet hard to master yes,maybe almost too hard:salute:
