  • 1680x1050@75HZ possible?

I'm trying to run BF2 at 1680x1050@75HZ. I have the Dell 2209WA which supports that 75HZ. On my desktop its 75HZ, but when I launch BF2 it goes to 1680x1050@60HZ. I did the Direct override and set it at 75HZ but that did nothing. I also edited my video.con file to 1680x1050@75HZ and it just crashes to the desktop. Am I missing something here?

I believe the max is 60hz.

But I have seen people talk about running their game at 75HZ at 1680x1050 or at least I thought I did

Can't, at least for me. Crashes it everytime.

You will see posts about the older CRT types being able to get higher refresh rates, LCD's work differently - 60hz is correct if you have one.

I have 22" Samsung 2233RZ LCD which is capable of 120Hz. In mods/bf2/Settings/videodefault.con there is allowAllrefreshrates or something like that, set it to 1.

              I play BF2 at 75hz, but I'm using 1280x1024

Ok, set you refresh as high as you can without issues, but generally LCD's are lower refresh rates like 60hz.
