    BF1943 Sigg-O-Matic!

This was a little project I did for fun last weekend with some help from Manzi. I don't know if any of you would be interested but might as well put it out there - it's a Battlefield 1943 stats signature generator. It does the usual stuff of putting your kills, deaths, score, etc. on a nice little signature that updates itself every day with your latest conquests. Here are a couple examples:

    Check it out here: Sigg-O-Matic!

Thanks Elxx! It's about time I freshened up my sig.

By the way Elxx and Manzi, we've had some good games on the PS3 and it's been fun playing with you guys. I'm usually on sometime around midnight CST and on, but I haven't seen either of you guys lately. Have you been playing earlier?

Awesome. I added it to support you cause this is really cool.

Also, please don't look directly at my stats or they may blind you. I hadn't played a BF game since BF2 for Xbox in 2005! I spent the first 2 and a half hours spawning near enemies, jumping out of planes w/o a parachute, continually getting in planes w/o knowing how to fly them, and generally getting owned. Last night tho, I found the tutorial and honed some skills, corrected flying/crashing habits, learning how to choose spawn points and how to deploy my chute. Now, I'm pretty good at flying too.

Did my weak stats need ^that^ much justification? Yes, I believe so. They should improve from now on tho :P

I tried out the much-hyped Coral Sea map when it was unlocked. So boring and just plain lazily tacked on by the developers. Haven't really had the desire to play since then. Getting a BS "we're looking at it" response for the extremely annoying PS3 mic issues doesn't help either, especially now that DICE is prancing around at Comic-Con advertising their broken game. Looks like the honeymoon is over; at least it was fun for about a week.

I'll hop on tonight though, seeing myself sit at that 19 hour 59 minute threshold is getting annoying.

Yeah, I wasn't largely impressed with the Coral Sea map. It was fun at first and sometimes you can get some pretty crazy air battles going with a full server, but it can also get stale quickly. I basically played it until I got my 50 kills for the postcard or stamp and then went back to the three original maps.

But on the bright side, it's a great crash course in learning to fly in the game and I came away a much better pilot, though I still can't hit anything with the bombs.

Yeah, that was me. The guy before me won a $300 gift certificate. The guy after me won a $100 gift certificate. I won copies of TMNT and Surf's Up.
