EA makes enough money off server rentals, we don't need a subscription service or monthly expansion packs...

      WHAT!?!
No way. They can totally make more money if they charge a monthly subscription, release lame 3 map "Booster Packs" for $10-15 each AND charge for ranked server rentals. Why would they discount a whole new revenue stream for something as dumb as "customer loyalty" or some such?

How much do they make? Where did you find that out?

I dont expect it to be the old fashioned buy a DVD

also I dont expect the free to start and then micropayments if you choose , like BF Hereos

I think its going to be a monthly subscription model

          What do you reckon ?
If it isn't a full on MMO, that would be an incredibly poor idea.

            It worked for Hellgaaaa....
Okay, nevermind. But that won't stop them from trying episodic content or something equally punitative to PC gamers. Eventually, these developers will win and we'll all be playing with little sticks. Mark my words.

I hope there won't be expansions like NS in BF3. Sucks to have good maps you can't play due to lack of servers(or at least good ones).

I just think there market strategy will be make a solid awesome game then charge $150 - $200 for it.

Most BF2 fan boys would pay that in a heart beat for the game they have waited for so long.

CoD seem to have seen that as a way to make more $$$ and no doubt so will EA.

The APB business model is what I expect now from BF3
purchase game then after 50 or so hours you then pay for more gametime
