What would you like to see them do different for the PC version?

Now that some of you have played the console version, what would you like for them to do different for the PC version? That is if you are going to pick the game up for the PC as well like me. From my understanding it is not going to be a straight console port. These are things I would like to see.

More players per map, maybe 16 vs 16.

More weapons

A server browser.

I doubt more weapons, but I have no doubt that there will be higher player counts.

Maybe they will use the frostbite 2.0 engine that they are using for BF:BC2 for the PC version of BF1943.

Allow us to host our own servers on our own boxes without paying a ridiculous monthly fee to a certain "approved" server provider for gimped admin access. This is all that matters, the rest is moot if they don't allow the players to host the servers. I fear that because this is a cheap game they might leave the server browser out and keep the terrible automatching system.

This has been posted before but a while back.

I know you might feel disappointed about the PC release being in September rather than June, but you should be very happy to know this is to give us the proper development time to create a proper PC version of Battlefield 1943 and not a console port. To the contrary of some less informed fans out there this is in no means an intentional ploy to punish our PC fans. And is in fact quite the opposite, we want to make the best damn PC version we can for our PC fans!

Not to bore your eyes out with endless text about the how's and do's I will say to make this a proper PC version we need a completed core game to develop over and remember we already released Battlefield Bad Company with the Frostbite Engine on the consoles, so this will be first PC game ever released using Frostbite! PCs are an open platform requiring additional features, support, technical consideration, and can't just be thrown out there using copy/paste. We have thought very carefully about this decision and in the long run felt it was the right choice even though we knew we'd catch some flak for it, but we feel once you play the first Frostbite PC game ever from DICE you'll see why we put this extra time and care in on the development making all right again in the universe. I hope this helps clear things up better and answers your concern(s).

Make it good:

Boy I seems like the entire franchise has been in decomposing in the ground for some time now. I think the PC version should stay true to the battlefield multiplier roots. There should be plenty of players to shoot at. That's the key. I would also be nice if there was some serious bush like Ho Chi Minh Trail.

Lets see...

-Increase player count to 46 at a minimum.
-Expand classes to original roles
-Expand vehicles options to at least that of original
-Expand to more maps
-Get rid of the unlimited ammo/health BS.
-Spend some time re-doing the graphics (too huge to do)

Those would be a good start...

They made it for consoles first because it was a smaller scale game, and the demand for a game like this isn't that big on the PC. That's why they're remaking the PC version so that it's not a straight console port, but thereby taking more time.

They developed the Frostbite engine for all platforms (PC and consoles), however, this is the first time they're actually making a Frostbite game for the PC, so they need to make sure the performance is good and that it doesn't run like crap.

They wouldn't delay it 3 months unless they were actually doing something in that time. Just porting it over would not take that long.

I'm not saying you should expect wonders though because they're not going to increase players numbers beyond 48 at least and not add 10+ maps either. There's just no point in being negative when we haven't even got details on how far they have come yet.

I would say PC will be very lucky to get one extra map for being the original patient ones.

by the time we see this it will be boring because of all the console vids.

I know battlefield is buisness to TBF but they have devided the pc community and no one cares anymore.

Its about time pc come first then i wouldnt need to rant like this:salute:

eg,are they going to make a game just for pc one day?the answer is no!

are they going to sell grand turismo to pc ?the answer is no:hmm:

but its ok to sell battlefield to playstation

Anyway, BF1943 is more an experimental game then an actual total blowout market taker, the game won't be boring by the time it comes to the PC... (mouse and keyboard changes everything), and why all the negativity?
