We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Hey call me crazy but it would be fun to try this experiment:
We gather up 32 of us, we open up an unranked, private city conquest server, and we all install a cheating device.
Then we watch lulz ensue as we all seek to kill each other when everyone has soldier highlights, an all-seeing map and an aimbot. :awes
Better yet, you make a game concept around it; the complete opposite of uncertainty. Everyone knows where each other is, everyone can land a 1-mile headshot with a sniper rifle and everyone has a 360-degree vision radar.
The problem is the admins who think people cheat. I pretty much stopped playing BF2142 properly a year ago and playing Public long before that, but on the rare occasion i do go play public i don't make it through 1 round without getting a constant amount of kick votes from people calling me a hacker or admins kicking/banning me for hacking.
It's pretty pathetic really that so many people instantly assume you hack simply because your good. With regards to hackers there generally easy to beat. Hackers obviously have the upper hand in that they know where people are and have aimbots, but they have no in game IQ and presume there 1337 hacks will make them pro.
99% of time when i played properly i would out score, out frag and out k/d a hacker. MFA pops into mind whilst typing this ^^
I imagine it would be harder to spot hackers in europe and all since everyone there is l337 as hell. However over here in america where the nubs live spotting a hacker is about easy as spotting a pro in Europe
I always check to see the stats of a said player I'm not sure about.
If a player has played for something like 900+ hours (which is 99% of the case) I would expect them to be damn good (or for want of a better phrase - more experienced); if not then they're slightly retarded.
