    Aimbots becoming harder to spot?

Two entire rounds I have to put with this nasty little bugger named Volle Eier_aus_Stahl, one shotting people with his sniper rifle while they were on the move and mowing down entire squads from behind the FOW (Fog of War)...

Within 2 minutes of the round starting he'd already mopped up 34 kills and sustained only 1 death.

This website is for sale! 2142-stats.com is your first and best source for all of the information you’re looking for. From general topics to more of what you would expect to find here, 2142-stats.com has it all. We hope you find what you are searching for!

Naturally people started to vote kick but as we all know the voting system is too democratic.

I guess this wouldn't have annoyed me so much if this was the only time where Orange (my ISP) had given me a lag free gaming experience in a long LONG time.

But what really is annoying is he appeared to be trying to play legit, as if to stroke his ego and try and get people thinking he was genuinely good at the game.

Watch out for this rather nasty person from Ze Fatherland; hope he gets swine flu or something.

Re: Aimbots becoming harder to spot?

I ran across a similar situation last night. The guy was playing legit and had a fairly reasonable 30-7 k/d, but after a while it was clear that something wasn't right.

We were playing shingle. I first became suspicious when I was on top of the command center and the guy headshots me with a Voss - granted, not an impossible shot, but still pretty darn good. Then my squad and I are taking Warehouses - each of us standing in seperate building corners around that flag and suddenly all four of us are dead from the same guy single shotting us with the Krylov. We literally heard pop pop pop pop pop and we were all dead.

Now I'm normally not one to accuse someone of being a cheater as I know there are guys out there with insane skills, but this one was just too obvious as far as I was concerned.

Re: Aimbots becoming harder to spot?

I was playing Shingle the other week and spawned as sniper at PAC base. Ran up the tower to lay traps on the stairways only to be killed as I got to the top of the stairs. I noticed there was a enemy on the flag but noticed it wasn't him that had killed me.

Re-spawned, threw a grenade up onto the platform and killed the assaulter. Ran up to lay some mines and as I got to the flag platform was killed again. Kill message - Baur. Indicator showed the direction of fire as coming from the east of command center.

Re-spawned again. Got to the flag platform. Ran around and saw the culprit. EU assault hiding behind the crates on the prefabs at Refugee Camp. Scoped the sniper rifle, lined up my shot and.... put put, dead via Baur. WTF

No way you can have that kind of accuracy with the Baur at that range. Checked the scoreboard. CabooseKiller 50+ kills, 3 deaths. :shakehead:

Switched teams to get a look. Def aimbottin. No kick vote option on this server. No admins that I could talk to. No friendly fire. Basically couldn't do fek all about it so just left the server but it riles me to think there is some **** out there just racking up points.

What's disrupting is that these sorts were restricted to Suez and Camp G; but they've migrated to the maps I like to play on.

Although knifing an aimbotter is utterly priceless especially if you suck at it like me.

I never saw an of those guy, thats prolly because they all stand in INF only servers. But the Other day I was on DIG titan and some smurf just ran up to me with a LMG ( while running and i was 100% health ) and killed by the time I crouched. I rarely accuse someone of hacking but that was pretty obvious, and after words he wwas nailing me From distance with APC even When I sneaked to avoid him. Anyways admins dint even respond to my accusation and he finished the round with 2-3 death and a thousan deaths

The funniest are the "brand new botters" - the guys who have just bought the game (so aren't familiar with maps) but also bought some "game aids" to the battlefield with them. They 2 shot you from anywhere if you stand in front of them, but otherwise they're totally oblivious to what's going on around them and so are easily owned from behind.

I still don't find it too difficult to spot a botter though... once you've been killed twice by them it's usually enough to become apparent that they are cheating. It's players who use other cheats that aren't so obvious (WH and no-recoil/spread) that's more worrying simply because there's not so much of a clear indication that something is wrong unless you're either on their team following them, or watching BR afterwards.

              Here's a question:

When I use the Ganz, I have to fire several rounds before the sights zero in and I can hit anything.

But yet I'm running and gunning with an assault rifle and some guy pops up from behind a wall/crate with a Ganz, fires a burst, and I'm dead. This happens quite frequently in fact and in some cases I've been prone, firing and hitting with my assault rifle, and he still kills me with a single short burst before I can kill him.

              How is that possible?

either, he had been shooting someone else, or he just had luck with how the bullets had fallen. i've seen guys shoot 2 hs with a shuko whilst running in cm, it is just a feel how the bullets will fall too. anyway, i have never ever had problems with detecting people with aimbot, it is just that i am to non suspisious about them. the best thing is, when you have good crough spam cover, and it is one of those aimbots which dont aim through hard cover. so when you duck he turns around to shoot someone else, jump up, he immidiatelly turns around to shoot you, but by the time he has gotten the packets you are standing, you are already laying down on the floor:P

Most likely latency. A quarter second to a half second of packet loss is enough to make you seemingly OHKed by the Ganz while simultaneously being unable to use it yourself. And yeah, it sux. :p

I've thought it was just guys with lots of Ganz hours knowing how the bullets pattern out when firing - heck, I've been accused of aimbotting with the Rorsch b/c I'm pretty good at hitting infantry with it, but I simply understand how to aim with the darn thing.

I've also tried to do "warm up" shooting with the Ganz where you fire at another target or object to bring the sights in and then move to your real target - the problem I've found is that by the time you've done all of that, you've overheated.

Didn't even know it was possible to get a no recoil cheat. Surely that means altering the animation of the gun which compromises the content error message? The lengths some people go astonishes me; just installing this sodding game was hard enough.

I usually bite the bullet anyway and leave but not before venting my fury on the chat. After a day at work I do not like relaxing with hackers, especially dis-honest ones.

Re: Aimbots becoming harder to spot?

Well I installed FRAPS and went hunting for caboosekiller. Found him on the UK Xtreme Shingle server. It was pre-round and my target was on the opposite team. He was picking people off with the Pererra pistol. I swapped teams, set my FRAPS recording and went in.

I think I may have made it too obvious and he got wise. I found no evidence of aimbot snapping when observing. He does seem to be a good player regardless. However - it just doesn't feel right. He seems to know where you are at all times. Yes he was commanding and yes he was using scans but even so.

I could be wrong about this guy. If anyone gets a chance to get on that Shingle server, have a look and see what you think.

You're probably right to be concerned, he has got 6 GUID's for a start and that's... more than enough :P

                            Aha... ahaha... oopsy.

I just had a couple of rounds on timeless gibraltar. Got into the swing of things and started doing well, then on my final round an aimbotter called "newacc. Lord--of--aim" comes on, and starts doing the old obvious botting thing. I managed to avoid him for about 5mins but when it came down to them having 1 flag, our paths crossed.

I killed him 3 times consecutively with 4 bullets or less (hit-reg was SERIOUSLY in my favour), and it might not have helped his situation (not that I cared) that we were getting round their spawns - coupla seconds later he starts raging over chat that I'm a hacker I end up getting killed by him a couple of times by the end of the round however the scores were...

aimbotter : 32-15, me 43-4 with an spm of 5. Didn't get screenshots as they saved black, however I got the battlerecorder file

Now the last time I annoyed an aimbotter I got spoofed :P hmmmmmmmmmmdi....

Yeah, I actually have had some very rare insta-kills with the Ganz. Usually the guy is wounded or based upon cover and exposure - maybe his head is exposed and he gets wasted instantly.
But latency can give the illusion (on occasion mind you) that something happened faster than it really did.

Repeated one shots, super long range through fog and snapping super fast between targets is a dead giveaway. Most of these guys can't control themselves so they tend to out themselves very quick.
