    BF 1943 Released

I was among the first to dl the game this morning.
I"m on the central time zone and had the game around 6 AM.

Let me qualify what I'm about to say with the fact that I'm a long time bf player and I realize that this game is not designed for people who are bf PC games.

The BF 1943 game on the xbox really is a big disappointment for me and I don't recommended the game to anyone who is a PC gamer. The xbox play style is not for me. I guess that I will never get used to the xbox controller.

I have had a couple of crashes that required rebooting the xbox to correct, as well as the customary release day connection issues.

Just my opinion, what does everyone else think?

They are experiencing packet loss problems so they are putting up more servers, for the release time to accommodate the wave of players.

I can't quite seem to figure this out...

The only complaint that I've heard so far seems to be the central server issue, which does not affect the game itself in anyway. Any experienced shooter fan should fully realize that these launch day issues with lag, bad servers, last minute fix-ups, they happen with nearly every release (although I will admit that EA doesn't have a great track record).

No one who's disliked the game has provided any valid points that justify why it's not a decent game. Everyone who's played the game and enjoyed it have listed endless reasons why the game is fun, engaging, pretty to look at, etc...

There are either a lot of trolls around today, or there's a lot of anti-EA/Dice sentiments here, which I can't seem to understand.

If you trolls have your panties in such a bunch, why don't you just wait for Bad Company 2 to come out, which will be the next full-featured game Dice is releasing. Battlefield 1943 is a treat to the community to throwback some classic 1942 action on the new engine, that in itself should be good enough for us.

For **** sakes man you're amateur, if you really dislike 1943 that much but consider yourself a fan of the franchise (which I would find hard to believe), well you can go play Battlefield 1942, I still play it occasionally and there are still plenty of people playing.

I've just seen way too many people ripping this game today without any valid points, just the typical dim-witted 'omfgz da serv0rz r reellee slow, diz game sux cuz I'm not a xbox gold member, it doesn't have single player, it won't wipe my *** for me, etc...'.

Just to add: Don't forget that this game is going to be released on PC in the fall. That means that you'll get to have your mouse/keyboard combo, and I imagine they'll increase the player cap, add a server browser, and allow for dedicated servers. Wait for the PC version and you might like it more. I used to HATE Bad Company because of the stupid controller, but I've grown to like the game, and I've learned to put up with the controls.

It's just simple.....everyone has the right to like or dislike a game. If you like it, I'm happy for you.
For me I don't care for it.....I have my reasons, and I'm sure they are different from other peoples.
I bought the game primarily for my young son. He's 8 yrs old and he seems to enjoy the game, however he has said he wants to get it for the PC when it releases.
The games worth the $15 cost, and I won't mind buying it again for the PC when it come out.

I recommend that everyone enjoy the game for what it is, and don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

              Best regards.......
