I played CoD1 and UO with dial-up. Actually they were the first games I used the name Iwantcable. :wee:

I thought about you when I was typing that Poor Cable.

I tried playing online but every game was choppy and I would get disconnects, so I gave it up until DSL was in the area about five years later.

During one CAL season, I played UO 35-40 hrs a week, along with a full-semester of college and a part-time job lol!

I had dial-up for the beginning of my MoHAA days. I actually got about a 200-220 ping which was playable. Obviously, not 'use a rifle or sniper rifle accurately' playable, but you know lol. I actually did get really good with the sniper on dial-up. Funny thing was, I never realized how far I was leading people for a shot until I got DSL. Wow...took a while to get used to only having to lead people a tiny amount instead of like 6 inches ahead on my screen haha!

Haha, I remember the first time I played on high speed (actually a LAN party at my high school). A short burst from an SMG downed a guy, and I was like :awes2
