I'd still much rather have waited another month for a better release than this.

Edit: Patch doesn't fix anything for me, still freezes when I try to do training or start a map offline.

I get all the badges straight away. And i even did get all the previous ones(SAW, GL and nades)...

That's really weird. Mostly because im on steam too, and i have no problems.

I still need to test the MP after i get few hours of sleep (5.30AM in here, and i've been up all night). Apperantly there's some PB problems in the MP, so it could be that the game isn't that smooth for me after all...

At this point, my suggestion is to either wait for a possible fix. Or take a look on the official forums(unless you already have), maybe you'll find fix for the freezing from there...

I've given up. A reinstall and now it won't even make it into the login screen. Not even 2142 had this many problems on release.

I really have no idea what's causing the problems for you...

Your rig is way better than mine, we both have it on Steam on XP. This doesn't make any sense at all.

Unless your rig has too much juice in it...

Anyways, i'd wait until the Authentication servers get back up(yes, they are down again), and then try again..

Well I finished the training and now I'm trying to join the MP but it wont let me

Everytime I click "join" it just go's back to the menu.. So I cut my losses and decided to just check out the maps in the explor option.. Joined a map and was running around when BAM the game just froze.. lol I'm close to just giving up and uninstalling this sh*t but I'll wait and see if they release a patch or fix or something.

May I suggest you forget about the game, don't uninstall and come back in a couple of weeks when it's decently playable?

Same thing happened to me few hours ago. From about 20 tries i made it to the server once, and the server lagged so bad that i had to exit...

Here's something you could try

Joining servers is probably the only issue I'm still currently having. I've been able to join a few using traditional method of double clicking server name, yada yada, but I've found i have much more success if I open the console and use the open command to join servers.
If you do not know how to do this you can do the following:

Find the server IP, can be found in the main server menu or by using the
Server Info button.
Press your ~ key.
type the following with quotes "open xx.xx.xx.xx" where xx=server IP address.


I can join a server 8/10 ten times using this method.

Don't know if it will work, but it's worth the shot...

Btw, im guessing that you don't need to wait for a fix/patch that long...
