Battlefield 2142 not loading ?
After clicking on the shortcut the eggtimer thingy appears and spins but then nothing!
I rember having this before and i sorted it out with help from this forum but it seems to have dissapeared.
I have deleted the pace files from the registery but when i try and log on it is saying user not existing or something to that effect.
Can someone help me out please ?

tbh i havent got a clue what a bat file is never mind how to make 1 and that link is all gobbly gook so anyone can u tell me in english how to do it and dont just expect us to all be pc nerds , cuz im not lol!

I dont know i but my birthdate as normal.
Isn't join date automatic?
Im probbaly one of the oldest members and i joined because i was going to get into Counterstrike source realised it was hash and never bothered again.
I didnt even know i was a member until i tried to join again.

Anyway can anyone tell me how i make this bat file?
It isnt even for me its for a mate lol who's trying to get into bf2142 but since he last played it it wont run at all now which is strange because i played it on his machine and it was fine. Maybee i logged on with my account and it ruined it.
The fact is ive deleted the pace files from reg and not got a bat file and i dont know what to do.
Could i not uninstall the thing run a reg cleaner ( which ive already done ) but this time delete the profiles?
I have got it to a point where ive deleted the pace but it says that no user exists basically and it wont log in even though thte user name is present and correct.

I think you make a txt file using notepad and then save as .bat
So, right click on your desktop, select new, text document.
Open the text document and cut n paste the following in to it;

@ECHO OFF 
ECHO. 
ECHO This Batch file will Reset the Pace Anti-Piracy in Battlefield 2142 Allowing it to load again 
ECHO Written by Beggin-Strips a.k.a Guy Galluzzo. 
ECHO. 
PAUSE 
ECHO. 
ECHO This first Step will remove the Pace Registry key in your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE once you run 2142 again the entry will be recreated. 
ECHO. 
reg delete "HKLM\Software\PACE Anti-Piracy" 
pause 
ECHO. 
ECHO This second Step will remove the Pace Registry key in your HKEY_CURRENT_USER once you run 2142 again the entry will be recreated. 
ECHO. 
reg delete "HKCU\Software\PACE Anti-Piracy" 
pause 
ECHO. 
ECHO This third and final Step will remove the Pace folder in your Common Files Folder once you run 2142 again the folder will be recreated. 
ECHO. 
del "C:\Program Files\Common Files\PACE Anti-Piracy\Log Files\*.*" 
ECHO. 
ECHO Once this batch file closes you will be able to play Battlefield 2142 again. 
ECHO. 
pause 
EXIT

Then click File, Save As, rename the file to Fix.bat

Or just do what the .bat file says and delete the two registry keys and folder.

Im sorry ! I didnt even know i had joined until i tried to create an account with the same name that was already registered .
I knew it would be as noone is daft enough to call themselves EDGE.
Ill try and make it to ten :P

It still wont work !
Funy thing is though if i log on to vista as a different user it works from that profile. Please someone why is this.
Im getting absolutely nothing.
Could it be something to do with widescreen?
Any suggestions may help, thankyou.
